Clear aligners offer a discreet and modern approach to orthodontic treatment, using custom-made, removable aligners to gradually guide teeth into alignment.
Your consultation is designed to provide clarity and confidence, allowing time to explore whether clear aligner treatment may be suitable for you and how it could fit within your broader dental care.

A complimentary digital scan of your teeth to help assess suitability and visualise potential outcomes
If treatment is deemed suitable, a discussion of treatment options, payment options, and a personalised quite with an estimate cost
Dr Lina Idarraga is an experienced dentist who joined the 818 Dental team in 2026.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) in 2005 and has spent many years working in private practice dentistry. Dr Lina has also help teaching roles for undergraduate dental students, supporting a clinical approach that is current, thoughtful and evidence-based.
Dr Lina has a particular interest in orthodontic treatment for children and young adults, including clear aligner therapy, as well as dental implant placement. Patients value her calm manner and clear communication throughout the consultation process.

Terms and conditions
- (Age) You must be 18 years old or older at the time of redeeming the offer.Should you not be eligible for redeeming this offer, 818 Dental will provide details of standard rates for consultation for your consideration in advance of your appointment.
- (Duration and limit) Free consultation is limited to 15 minutes. You can claim one free consultation for Clear Aligner treatment. You must mention this offer before your appointment or at reception to redeem the offer. Our dentist will advise you if further consultations are required (and standard rates for such consultations).
- (What the consultation will include) During the consultation, our dentist will generally:
- discuss your goals;
- provide information about what Invisalign treatment can do
- complimentary scan to evaluate your teeth condition to consider whether Invisalign treatment may be suitable for you; and
- if the treatment is deemed to be suitable for you, discuss payment options and provide you with a quote containing an estimated cost for the treatment.
- (No obligation to proceed) You will be required to fill out a medical history form when you attend the practice (and prior to your free consultation) to assist the dentist’s evaluation. There is no obligation for you to proceed with treatment following the consultation.
- (Health insurance coverage) If you have private health insurance, it is your responsibility to check with your health fund which portion, if any, of your fee is covered. While our practice accepts all major health funds, not all health funds offer the same level of benefits and your level of cover will affect your “out-of-pocket” costs.
- (Standard dental check-up may be required before commencing Invisalign treatment) The free consultation does not check for tooth decay, gum disease or other potential dental concerns. It is only intended to assess whether you may be a suitable candidate for clear aligners.
If our dentist considers you to be suitable, depending on your existing teeth conditions, you may be required to have a check-up, clean and x-rays before starting treatment. If that is the case, our dentist will provide you with standard rates for such treatments. - (No guaranteed outcomes) While we will undertake best endeavours to support you to achieve your desired results, individual responses and individual results vary. Outcomes experienced by one person do not necessarily reflect the outcomes that other people may experience, as results may vary due to many factors, including the individual’s genetics, diet and exercise.
- (Product use) The products we use are not available for purchase by the general public. It will only be offered following the consultation set out in this set of T&Cs.
