Alison Thomas
Dental Hygienist
Bachelor of Nursing Diploma in Oral Health Therapy

I’ve been with 818 Dental for over 10 years because it’s a great place to work. The team is happy, friendly and get along so well that it helps every patient have an experience that’s as relaxed and enjoyable as possible.

We have the latest dental technology and our team is committed to continuing education, often spending their personal time attending professional courses.

We have a fabulous group of patients and I have the fortunate role of helping them achieve the best possible dental health as well as being able to get to know them and catch up every time they visit. My special areas of interest are preventative dentistry and treating children of all ages.

I love coming to work every day for the opportunity to chat with some fabulous people and hear all about what’s happening in their lives. In my spare time I enjoy going away to the beach with my husband and 2 children, building and renovating houses and trying out new creative tasks such as painting on canvas and mosaic work.

Kate Robinson
Dental Hygienist
Bachelor of Oral Health

I joined the 818 Dental team in early 2018 with 18 years experience as a Dental Oral Therapist. I love the energy of 818, the team here makes this place come to life every single day and they’re great to work with. I especially love how friendly and committed the patient’s are to their oral care.

My goal every day is to change the perception of at least one patient, whether that is the perception of coming to the dentist or receiving treatment. I really enjoy guiding people to reach dental health in a pain-free environment.

Outside of the practice I enjoy travelling to the coast with my husband and 2 young boys

Alyce Stone
Dental Hygienist
Bachelor of Oral Health

I graduated from La Trobe University Bendigo in 2008 and have worked in Dentistry ever since. From experience working in a number of different dental specialties, I’ve developed a great passion for the dental industry. My goal is to make the dental experience an easy one, making patients as comfortable as possible and work through any questions or queries to help maximise your regular oral health visit and home regime.

I also have a keen interest in the whitening aesthetics of people’s smiles. I love making everyone’s smile the brightest & best it can be for them so ask me about whitening options next time you are in for your preventative care appt.

Outside dentistry I love spending time with my nieces & nephew, playing with my indoor plants & practicing yoga.

Keera Buswell
Dental Hygienist
Bachelor of Oral Health

I have been with 818 Dental for over a third of my life!

I started out as a dental assistant with Dr. Lloyd in 2009 and after my passion for the dental industry grew, I took a brief intermission to complete my Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Melbourne. I am now privileged to have been welcomed back to 818 in my new role as an Oral Health Therapist!

I love caring for people and I think the best part of my role is being able to coach children and anxious patients through their dental visits to provide a positive dental experience.

Outside of 818 Dental I love brunching along the Mornington Peninsula and overindulging my dog Oscar.

Emma Cubis
Dental Hygienist
Bachelor of Oral Health

I joined 818 Dental in late 2019 following years of private practice experience after graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2013. My dental philosophy is firmly grounded in preventative care – providing thorough yet gentle treatment is of utmost importance to me. I take pride in ensuring every one of my patients has a great experience at 818 Dental!

I enjoy empowering my patients to take control of their oral health and equipping them with the knowledge to ensure their optimal oral health. I love educating little ones too by making sure they have a fun time at the dentist and instilling good habits at a young age.

When I’m not busy taking care of our patients, you can find me spending time outdoors, travelling to new places and hiking/eating my way around the world.

Hung Nguyen
Dental Hygienist
Bachelor of Oral Health

After graduating over a decade ago from Adelaide University, I’ve come to call Melbourne home and 818 Dental an extension of that.

To me the most important thing about my work are the patients, the team I work with and the ability to treat each and every person I see as individuals. My area of interest is the management of those with difficulties coming to the dentist. I think there is much work needed in overcoming the anxieties many suffer with regards to dental treatment and I hope to be part of that solution.

Outside of work you most likely will find me cooking up a storm, playing squash or enjoying a glass of wine.
