Our Dental Assistants

Carissa Green
Clinical Coordinator

Being a dental nurse is so rewarding- we are able to care for our patients as well as get to know them as people, which I really enjoy.

I love what I do each day. During the past 11+ years I have spent my time chair-side as a dental nurse, attending further training to develop my skills and training others.

I have had the privilege of working alongside some very skilled practitioners, such as Dr Lloyd and Dr Kumar and assisting them in providing a huge range of treatments.

From full mouth rehabilitation, to hygiene treatments and tooth whitening, each patients journey is different – this is what I love being a part of.

Overcoming fears and anxieties for patients is the best! I must say the amazing technology we have available to us at 818 makes this much easier to achieve.

I am always here to help guide you through your treatment journey, or chat all things Queensland when you need a break from the Melbourne winter!

Mikayla Callahan
Dental Assistant

I have been with the 818 Dental family since 2019 in Dental Assistant role.

Since completing school I’ve been working in dentistry. Over this period I’ve gained a broad range of experience in preventative, restorative, paediatric, cosmetic, orthodontic and surgical dentistry.

My passion lies in cosmetic dentistry because of the physical and psychological transformation patients achieve through us helping them design their perfect smile. 818 Dental supports this by using the latest technology and techniques to give patients the very best results.

I am proud to work in such a beautiful practice with an extremely talented, caring and enthusiastic team.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring and photographing incredible places Australia has to offer with my family & fur babies!

Amy Roycroft
Dental Assistant

Originally from the UK, I have recently moved to Melbourne and I have been welcomed into the 818 Dental team since March 2020. I started my dental assisting career in August 2016 and have enjoyed each aspect of learning, meeting patients and working as a team. The role of my job is to help patients feel relaxed and comfortable whilst supporting the team too.

At 818 Dental I love the advanced technology we use to help make patients’ dental experience quick, easy and comfortable. Another aspect I enjoy most about my role is, meeting patients, seeing the results of their new smile and getting to know them on a personal level as well as being professional in the treatment and care we provide.

Outside of work I enjoy going to the beach, shopping, reading, going on long walks and exploring the city of Melbourne.
