For treatment of moderate misalignment of the front teeth, the Inman Aligner offers Melbourne patients a fast, predictable, safe and inexpensive treatment system. In a few weeks the Inman Aligner system gently corrects the bite, guiding your teeth to their ideal position. The Aligner is a removable appliance, so you can remove it to suit your life style. In most cases treatment is complete in 6-16 weeks. Our trained practitioners have successfully treated patients with Inman Aligners in Armadale and all over Melbourne.
So what exactly is an Inman Aligner?
The Inman Aligner can be used alone to provide fast, safe correction of misaligned front teeth. Alternatively, it can be used to provide preparatory alignment so that further cosmetic treatment, such as bonding or minimal veneers, can take place.
How does it work?
The Inman Aligner has two aligner bows that bear upon the opposing faces of the teeth, as illustrated in the pictures and the video. It’s powered by Nickel Titanium coil springs, the bows gently guide the teeth towards the desired position. The design of the springs, and their geometrical relationship with the bows, deliver constant forces over a wide range of movement. This is why the Inman Aligner works so quickly.
How long does the Inman Aligner treatment take?
Most cases are completed within 6-18 weeks. Your 818 Dentist will examine your bite and advise you if your case is suitable for treatment with the Inman Aligner, and how long to expect it to take. If so, the Inman Aligner is likely to be the fastest way to get a great result.
What does Treatment with the Inman Aligner involve?
Once we’ve agreed on an Inman Aligner treatment, at our Armadale surgery we take Impressions of your teeth, to enable the lab to fabricate your custom made Inman Aligner. Once the lab has delivered your Aligner, we fit it to you and instruct you in its use and hygiene. You typically wear the Aligner 16-20 hours a day and we perform regular Inman checks and adjustments every 2-3 weeks.
As with other orthodontic treatments, after the Inman Aligner treatment is completed, we recommend the use of a retainer to prevent the tendency of the teeth to relapse.
If you are interested in the Inman Aligner, schedule in your next check up with 818 Dental and we can assess the potential to straighten your teeth!.
